GSE Systems to Sponsor West Coast Utility Industry Training Meeting
SYKESVILLE, Md. – June 21, 2013 – Global energy services provider GSE Systems, Inc., (NYSE MKT: GVP) will serve as vendor co-sponsor for the 2013 Western Utilities Training Advisory Board (WUTAB) meeting, June 24 to 27 at the Flamingo Conference Resort and Spa in Santa Rosa, Calif. WUTAB was started in 1983 as a cooperative effort to improve training and provide an open format of information for utility training professionals.
GSE’s senior vice president and workforce solutions expert, Phil Polefrone, will be giving a presentation titled “Human Performance, The Nuclear Perspective” on Tuesday, June 25. The second day of the conference will be hosted by Calpine Corporation (industry co-sponsor) at its Geothermal Visitor Center with additional technical presentations and an afternoon tour of one of The Geysers’ nearby geothermal power plants. The WUTAB conference, now in its 28th year, concludes with its business and planning meeting.
With the theme “Renewing the Commitment for POWERful Results,” the focus of WUTAB 2013 will be addressing key issues in safety, training and operations in the energy generation sector. Throughout the event, attendees will gain insights via presentations and discussions on human performance, NERC training and operational excellence.
